What should we pay attention to when installing evaporative condenser?
2024-09-01
Evaporative condensers are generally installed on the top of the machine room. The roof structure of the machine room needs special treatment and is required to be able to bear the weight of the evaporative condenser.
The installation of evaporative condensers must be firm, reliable and well-ventilated. When installed, its top should be 300mm higher than adjacent buildings, or at least not lower than the height of adjacent buildings, so as to prevent the discharged hot and humid air from flowing back to the air inlet along the wall.
The installation of evaporative condensers also has installation forms such as single-unit type and multi-unit parallel type. When installing, pay attention to the spacing from adjacent buildings.
1): When there are walls on all four sides of the evaporative condenser, the minimum spacing on the air inlet side should be 1800mm, and the minimum spacing on the non-air inlet side should be 900mm.
2): When the evaporative condenser is surrounded by solid walls on three sides and there is a latticed wall on one side, the minimum spacing on the air inlet side should be 900mm.
3): When two evaporative condensers are installed in parallel, if both are on the inlet and outlet sides, the minimum spacing between them should be 800mm. If one is on the inlet and outlet side and the other is on the non-inlet and outlet side, the minimum spacing is 900mm. If neither of them is on the inlet and outlet side, the minimum spacing is 600mm.

After ensuring the distance between the evaporative condenser and adjacent buildings, when installing, also pay attention that the distance between the water pan of the evaporative condenser and the ground should not be less than 500mm, so as to facilitate pipeline connection, water pan leak detection and prevent ground dirt from being sucked in by the fan.
