Precautions for Refrigerant Charging and Maintenance Key Points of R410A Refrigerant Air Conditioners
2025-04-09
I. Installation Precautions for Air Conditioners Using R410A Refrigerant
- When installing or moving the air conditioner, do not mix air other than R-410A refrigerant into the refrigerant circulation pipeline of the air conditioner. If gases such as air are mixed in, it will lead to abnormal high pressure in the refrigerant circulation pipeline, which is the main cause of rupture and cracks in the circulation pipeline.
- Due to the relatively high pressure of R410A, the piping tools, etc. should be used specifically for it. After the installation work is completed, carefully confirm the leak detection: conduct leak detection when the unit is shut down in summer, and conduct leak detection when the heating mode is turned on in winter. There should be no refrigerant leakage. If the refrigerant leaks indoors, once it comes into contact with the electric sparks emitted by appliances such as electric fans, heaters, and electric stoves, toxic gases will be formed.
II. Methods for Charging Refrigerant and Maintenance Key Points of Air Conditioners Using R410A Refrigerant
- Before the operation, confirm the name of the air conditioner refrigerant, and then carry out different operations for different refrigerants.
When using R410A refrigerant, it is absolutely prohibited to use refrigerants other than R410A. - Be sure to check for leak points before charging the refrigerant. After dealing with the leak points, charge the refrigerant. Note: It is prohibited to use air or refrigerant for pressure testing and leak detection.
- R410A is a simulated azeotropic mixed refrigerant. When adding refrigerant, ensure that the refrigerant is added in a liquid state.
- There are the following 5 methods for adding refrigerant after the leakage of R410A, and the details are as follows:
Method 1:
The remote control enters the rated refrigeration mode. When the compressor is turned on in the refrigeration mode: Set the temperature on the remote control to 17 °C; Set the wind speed on the remote control to high speed; Press the strong mode button continuously for 6 times (or more) within 10 seconds. After 10 seconds, the single-tone buzzer will sound continuously for 10 seconds (for the musical buzzer, the startup ringtone will sound), and the rated refrigeration test operation will be entered. The operating frequency of the compressor is fixed at the rated test frequency, and the wind speeds of the indoor and outdoor fans are fixed at the rated test wind speeds.
Method 2:
Use the remote control to enter the rated refrigeration mode. Use the test small board to check the exhaust temperature. The exhaust temperature of about 75-80 °C is more appropriate.
Method 3:
Under the refrigeration mode, use the test small board to check the return air temperature and the indoor pipe temperature. When charging the refrigerant, T_return = T_pipe ± (1 - 3) °C.
Method 4:
Use the remote control to enter the rated refrigeration mode. After the indoor fan has been running for more than 20 minutes, observe that the best state is that the evaporator has uniform condensation, and the return air pipe has uniform condensation.
Note: The above methods can only be completed when the external ambient temperature is above 0 °C.
Method 5:
When the external ambient temperature is below 0 °C, it is best to add refrigerant in the way of quantitative refrigerant charging. When the external ambient temperature is lower than -10 °C, try to persuade the customer not to use the air conditioner.
The air conditioner maintenance should be carried out as far as possible before the arrival of the peak spring season when the temperature rises. - Method for the remote control to exit the rated refrigeration mode:
Cut off the power supply. Change the set temperature on the remote control to a value other than 17 °C. Change the set wind speed on the remote control to a setting other than high speed. Change the operation mode on the remote control to a mode other than the refrigeration mode. If none of these are changed, it will automatically exit the rated refrigeration mode after 5 hours.
