Water Flow Switch
Also known as flow switch,
The water flow switch is widely used in the water systems of water chillers and air-conditioning projects. It can ensure the safe and efficient operation of the air-conditioning system. Usually, when applied, the water flow switch can only qualitatively ensure the safe and efficient operation of the air-conditioning system, rather than quantitatively and accurately set the flow values when the water flow switch closes and opens.
The water flow switch consists of a magnetic core, a return spring, a forged copper or polycarbonate shell and a sensor. The functions of the water flow switch are as follows:

The water flow switch consists of a magnetic core, a return spring, a forged copper or polycarbonate shell and a sensor. The functions of the water flow switch are as follows:
- Detect whether the liquid in the pipeline is flowing and whether the amount of flow (flow rate, that is, the liquid flow pressure) meets the requirements. Meanwhile, rely on the electrical contacts of the switch to output (provide) the on-off state of a signal.
- The equipment system judges the working condition of the pipeline system by detecting whether there is a signal or whether the control current passes through this switch (the on and off states of the electrical contacts of the water flow switch), and then gives the corresponding control, operation mode or measure.
Working Principle
When the water flow in the pipeline is greater than 0.75 L/min, the magnetic core is displaced under the action of the water flow and drives the magnetic source to generate a magnetic control effect, making the sensor output a "1" switch signal. This signal is input into the equipment control system, and after power amplification, the purpose of controlling by water flow is achieved. When the water flow in the pipeline is less than 0.75 L/min, the magnetic core is driven back to its original position by the thrust of the return spring, making the sensor output a "0" switch signal and stopping the operation of the system.
Installation Method
Vertical Installation: When installed vertically, it should be installed on the pipe section where the flow is from bottom to top.
Horizontal Installation: When installed at the upper end of a horizontal pipeline, it should be ensured that the medium fills the entire pipe to prevent the probe from only contacting air instead of the medium.
Inverted Installation: When installed at the lower end of a horizontal pipeline, it should be ensured that there are no sediments at the bottom of the pipeline, so as to prevent the probe from being covered by sediments and unable to fully contact the probe.
