Temperature Requirements for Various Cold Storages

- Fresh-keeping storage
The temperature is generally between 0 and 5 degrees Celsius. It is mainly used for the preservation of fresh meat, dairy products, fresh eggs, fruits and vegetables. The fresh-keeping storage keeps food at a relatively low temperature without being lower than 0 degrees Celsius. Under such circumstances, food can remain fresh for a relatively long time. - Refrigerated storage
The temperature is generally between -10 and 20 degrees Celsius. It is mainly used for food refrigeration. Some food is put into the cold storage irregularly, and at the same time, another part of food is taken out of the cold storage irregularly. There is no specific requirement for the refrigeration time of food.
The storage temperature is maintained in the range of -15 to 18 degrees Celsius.
- Quick-freezing storage
The storage temperature is generally below -30 degrees Celsius.
It is mainly used for quick-freezing of food, such as quick-frozen dumplings, quick-frozen vegetables, etc. It is required to quickly freeze food within a limited time.
- Low-temperature storage
The temperature is generally between -22 and 25 degrees Celsius.
It is mainly used for food storage when the storage temperature is -22 to 25 degrees Celsius. Only at this temperature can food not deteriorate.
The characteristic of low-temperature storage is that food is gradually put into the cold storage irregularly. After a period of time, there is no special requirement for the storage temperature during this period. When the temperature of the cold storage reaches -25 degrees Celsius, after the temperature in the cold storage is stable, the temperature requirement for the cold storage is very strict.
The cost of a 1,000-square-meter cold storage. Before building a cold storage, determine the following points first:
- What needs to be stored? The temperature requirements for each stored item are different.
- How large is the capacity of the cold storage to be built?
- Which structure should be selected, civil construction or steel structure?
- Are the goods stacked or placed on shelves?
- Selection of refrigerant.
- Selection of insulation materials, site foaming or sandwich panel assembly.
- Selection of refrigeration equipment based on refrigerants.
The cold storage depends on specific dimensions, temperatures, installation environments, installation locations and configuration requirements.
