What safety measures should be paid attention to during the installation of cold storage?

Safety measures to be noted during the installation of cold storage:
- It is necessary to pay attention to safety when applying cold primer oil and pouring hot asphalt in the cold storage. Many construction teams overlook the characteristics of cold storage installation and often conduct construction in the same way as the "two felts and three coats of asphalt" waterproof treatment on the roof, shortening the time interval between applying cold primer oil and pouring hot asphalt. As a result, fires may occur because the gasoline component in the cold primer oil does not evaporate as quickly as on the roof. For this reason, first of all, a safer cold primer oil should be selected. Slow-volatile cold primer oil prepared with slow-volatile diluents such as light diesel oil and kerosene has a relatively long drying time but is much safer. Secondly, when installing cold storage equipment where cold primer oil made from gasoline is applied, it is necessary to apply the cold primer oil in accordance with the regulations, that is, 5 to 10 hours later, usually overnight, so that the gasoline component can evaporate as much as possible.
- Strengthen safety education in line with the changes in the composition of the workforce. Currently, with the increase in subcontractors and migrant workers in the construction workforce, they lack the necessary fire safety knowledge. For example, the cold storage fire in Shanghai was caused by the construction workers' lack of basic fire prevention knowledge and using an open flame to roast polystyrene, which led to a big fire. Adopt various methods to rescue and evacuate the trapped people. When it is determined that there are people trapped, under the condition of ensuring safety, scientific rescue measures should be taken according to the situation of the fire scene. It is possible to rescue people first and then put out the fire; it is also possible to rescue people while putting out the fire when there is certainty; if the trapped people are not in immediate danger and it is necessary to put out the fire to open up a life-saving passage, measures can also be taken to achieve the purpose of rescuing people by putting out the fire.
- Equip necessary fire extinguishing equipment. Due to the high mobility of construction teams, some cold storage construction sites often do not equip or are equipped with few fire extinguishing equipment. Once a fire breaks out, people will be at a loss and unable to extinguish the fire in time. Therefore, cold storage construction sites should be equipped with large foam and dry powder fire extinguishers suitable for extinguishing oil and asphalt fires for emergencies.
