What Vacuum Requirements Do Cold Storage Equipment Have?
2025-02-11
Since the air in the cold storage system can cause significant damage to the operation of cold storage equipment, the cold storage refrigeration system must be evacuated after the cold storage is installed. When evacuating cold storage equipment, a dedicated vacuum pump must be used; it is not allowed to use the cold storage compressor for self - evacuation. This is because the motor coils of the cold storage compressor are extremely likely to burn out in a vacuum state.
It is recommended to install a vacuum - pumping valve in both the high - pressure and low - pressure pipelines of the cold storage refrigeration system. Connect the vacuum pump to the vacuum - pumping valves with rubber hoses. The inner diameter of the rubber connecting hose should be at least 8mm, and the opening inner diameter of the vacuum - pumping valve must be greater than 6mm. The length of the connecting hose should be minimized, and no severe bends are allowed. Then, check whether all connections are sealed.

During evacuation, the vacuum degree observed through the pressure gauge is often higher than the actual vacuum degree inside the cold storage equipment. To avoid this situation, we should increase the evacuation time of the cold storage project to minimize the error between the actual vacuum degree inside the cold storage equipment and the observed vacuum degree.

To ensure the efficient and normal operation of the refrigeration system, we must carefully evacuate the refrigeration system. Only after meeting the corresponding standards and specifications can the refrigerant be added to the refrigeration system. Otherwise, the service life of the cold storage equipment will be seriously affected.
