According to the actual situation of the gas field, with the aim of controlling the water and hydrocarbon dew points of the exported natural gas to meet the requirements of users, only the external cooling source refrigeration method needs to be adopted. Condensing the natural gas to - 20°C - 30°C can remove water and liquid hydrocarbons to meet the requirements.

Under normal temperature conditions, propane is colorless, odorless, flammable, and explosive. It is an environmentally friendly and healthy refrigerant. It has a small latent heat of vaporization and a small refrigeration capacity per unit volume. The suitable refrigeration temperature is - 35°C - 40°C.
The York propane compressor compresses the R290 gas and discharges it from the exhaust port. The lubricating oil in the refrigerant is separated in the oil separator, cooled to an appropriate temperature by the oil cooler, and then returns to the compressor.

The R290 gas is condensed into a liquid in the air - cooled condenser and cooled in the economizer. After throttling, the cooled refrigerant liquid enters the flooded evaporator. In the evaporator, the low - temperature refrigerant cools the secondary refrigerant and at the same time evaporates into a gas and returns to the compressor, restarting the cycle.
